Project/year: Buddha & I/2018
Client: Nan Tien Temple, BBEP
Brief: Produce and curate informational graphic content for an educational exhibition detailing the essence of Humanistic Buddhism at Nan Tien Temple.
Solution: Working, both remotely and in-person, in a close team of volunteers to found and promote the Turning Points: Stories of Humanistic Buddhism campaign led us to create and curate an exhibition of real stories that demonstrate the real possibility of self-development towards a better life.
Practically, this involved sourcing stories from real people, ordinary and famously established, and curating them in such a way that they reflect important concepts such as compassion and wisdom, and most importantly, in an engaging experience rather than a simple walk-through. This ended up, from my end, being a fair few massive panels, a whole lot of posters, a book of graphic summaries of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s The Biography of Sakyamuni Buddha
