Project/year: Rebranding NTI/2016-17
Client: Nan Tien Institute
Brief: Create a new visual identity to raise awareness and interest for courses at NTI.
Solution: Bring the classically educational-based design into the contemporary future of visual identity while retaining the aims of NTI (contemplative pedagogy) by utilising and innovating on current graphic and marketing trends, particularly the symbolic use of minimalism, colour and type.
Instead of designing a poster here and there or maybe making some icons, I was tasked with a complete rebrand of NTI, “Australia’s first government accredited tertiary institution grounded in Buddhist wisdom and values.”
With much discussion and research, I developed a proposal for future visual identity and a subsequent style-guide, and from this proceeded to create all of the collateral design material for internal and external use.
